love the new Advanced Step video!
I admit it! I am a Step junkie. There is just something great about fun choreography, it just makes the time fly by. I just don’t think about how tired I am, I just sweat! And I love Step because it seems to transport me away from my world. So for 45 minutes I get to live in a world with no stress, no problems and I feel great! How can you ask for more?
The new Advanced Step is just so creative! Love it, love it, love it! Even if you aren’t an advanced Stepper, I highly recommend you trying it. Pascale does a really good job at breaking down the move so it is very follow-able! Loved it!
lost 3 more pounds!
Yes! 3 more pounds. That is a total of 24 pounds — And let me tell you, Im looking pretty darn good!
But even more than that, I feel fabulous. My secret? Consistency! It’s no special diet, it’s no specific exercise program, its doing the work every day. And the days were I get off track, I don’t say to myself “Well, I already blew it today so maybe I’ll eat some Doritos.” No, when I get off track, I say, “No one is perfect, this is a marathon not a sprint. Now go eat an apple, walk around the block and get back to your new life.”
And guess what? This is what’s cool – Feeling great makes me look 10 years younger. And that is coming from within!
Im doing my first 5K race tomorrow
If you would have asked me this time last year “Mary, do you exercise?” I would have said, “OH, I should but I just don’t have the time” – But I can honestly & proudly say “I EXERCISE!!!! AND I DO STEP AEROBICS!!!! And I am doing a 5K race tomorrow.” Wow, what a shift this is! It’s really a new me! Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m walking the 5K, but for me it is a challenge and a victory. It’s a victory for two reasons, that I am able to do it and….that I want to do it! This is a new me, and I like her!
starting something new is never easy
Why is it when we try something new, that we are surprised when we face obstacles? Truly, wouldn’t it be stranger if when we were learning something brand new that it was all “old hat”? And aren’t we supposed to challenge our brain? To challenge our skills to grow and to stimulate our learning center? Oh, but it is all to human to be surprised that we are not invincible! But truly, we are. And truly, learning something new can be frustrating. But to live, we must continue to grow – because without growth and a challenge, we are stagnant. And you know what happens to a bed of water when it doesn’t move? It smells, and gets green. In order to live- we must challenge ourselves daily. And sometimes we will fail, but other times we will thrive. One of my favorite quotes of all time kind of wraps this up:
Champions aren’t made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them — a desire, a dream, a vision.
