Spring Fitness Resolutions with Exercise Videos
It’s spring, and for many of us, it’s kind of like our second “resolution” of the year and we find ourselves at the gym more often or looking for a new exercise video to help us become how we have always wanted to look or feel. For some, it’s all about fitting into a new swimsuit or getting ready for a vacation to some relaxing beach town, or even getting ready for your high school reunion. The good news is you can be whom ever you want to be. It’s all within your control. Every single day, you make hundreds of choices, and each one of those choices affect the woman that you are and the woman you are becoming.
Choices. You made one this morning when you brushed your teeth. You made another one when you hugged your child. Then you made another one when you stopped at McDonalds. Oh no…McDonalds? You were doing so well! Why McDonalds? But guess what, even McDonalds is ok if you choose the grilled chicken sandwich without the mayonnaise. Anyway, the point is those choices add up. Some of those choices seem easy, some are hard, but you have the control. One way to change your circumstances is to understand that no one except you is responsible for the woman you are and the choices you make. Once you accept that, then you are truly able to see change, and not before.
Getting Healthy. Here’s the reality. To make your dreams come true, you must first have a healthy body, and a healthy body craves exercise and a balanced diet full of nutrients. And they beauty is, the healthier your body the more natural working out and eating well becomes. Once you feel good, you want to feel better! And at that point, it just seems silly to not exercise, and it just seems ridiculous to super size your meals. So, even before thinking about loosing weight, think about becoming healthy, and strong and vibrant.
The Diet: For me, this is the hardest part. I just love food, especially after a long day at work. Good luck to the man who comes between me and my Ben and Jerry’s. I realized a long time ago, that food provides me many things besides nutrition: It gives me comfort when I’m sad; it provides me a break when I’m stressed and it is a wonderful way to connect with friends. So, for me, it’s all about portion control. When I want ice cream, the first thing I do is to wait 15 minutes and go do something else, something to keep my mind off the food. If after 15 minutes I still want it, I have it, but only half a cup.
The Workout: Exercise has gotten a bad wrap. When many of us think about working out we think about hard, sweaty, boring workouts that leave you feeling exhausted. Lose types of workouts are fine, but there are so many other options! Exercise can be about enjoying the outdoors with a walk or a run, or how about rollerblading or walking your dog? It can be a Wii game played with your children, or doing a kickboxing workout video while the kids are in school.
The options are endless. The choices are yours. You have the control. You can make it happen. So how about it? Dust off that exercise video and remember how great it feels to move. Remember that powerful feeling of being strong and vibrant. Do it for yourself. Become the woman you know you can be. Consider Workouts On Demand for their easy video download service. Low Impact Aerobics #4 – Loved it!
I must confess, it’s been about a month since I have done a “real” workout, and I don’t have any excuses. Yes, I’ve been busy, yes, work has been crazy, yes, my kids are “at that age” but if Im being honest I have to say it just hasn’t been a priority. But I always feel better when I workout. I did the low impact #4 today and it just felt great. Honestly, that workout video just makes me feel great. I get sweaty, I get to move (and even shake my hips a bit too!). I may do an abs workout in a bit, but for now, I will savor my victory….and go take a well deserved bath.
Tomorrow, my plan is to do a kickboxing video….gotta love the kicking, punching and jabbing to take the stress out of your day.
Bye for now.
Get Into Your Skinny Jeans with Exercise Videos
Many women around the country are desperately trying to lose weight, and exercise videos the perfect way to do this. In fact, about half of American women are on a diet on any given day. You know the story, we are just too busy to exercise, and then we make the problem worse by having fast food for dinner. It just seems impossible to have the body that we want. With hectic lifestyles and a tight economy, our vision of what we want for ourselves seems to be an impossible dream.
In order to lose weight the right way, a diet and exercise program must be put into place that can be sustained in everyday life…not for just a few days following a weekend of over-celebrating. Eating a lot of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains is an excellent way to start off any diet program. That’s right, instead of counting calories, how about counting the grams of fiber you eat? The average person needs 25 grams a day. And by eating high-fiber diets, you know you are getting real food, not the processed food the American diet has become known for. As for exercise, many women spend hours at the gym. But, there are some of us that don’t have enough time to drive over to the gym and workout for hours. There are also some of us that are embarrassed about our weight and wouldn’t enjoy having to work out in front of others.
Exercise videos are a great way to lose weight in the privacy of your own home. You are able to choose from a variety of workout videos, so you have a fresh new workout each day and you’ll never get bored. There is yoga, cardio, kickboxing, dance, strength training, pilates, and much more. By choosing workouts that you naturally enjoy, you will have a hire success rate. If you love to dance, choose videos that will have you shaking your hips! Or if you enjoy toning and sculpting your body, try videos that incorporate hand weights, or maybe even a pilates video. Also, make your workout a success by choosing videos that are geared towards your current fitness level, not the level you want to be. You will be working out with a professional instructor, who will teach you exercise routines that you can use each and every day. These videos will show you that it is possible to lose weight and have fun at the same time.
By opting to use exercise videos instead of going to gym, you will save time and money. You won’t have to waste money on gas, gym memberships, or equipment. Rather than spending hours driving to and from the gym, how about spend 30 minutes on the workout, then the rest of the time taking a relaxing bath? Or playing with your child? Or watching your favorite soap opera? Or how about doing the workout with your family? Then you get healthy, your kids learn about exercise, and you’re husband gets all the more hot! Let’s face it; using videos can open up a lot of time where you can spend more time with your family. Any member of the family is able to use these videos, so you can get fit as a family.
If there is any secret formula to losing weight, it would be adding a diet and exercise videos to equal maximum weight loss. Exercise videos will assist you in your weight loss journey and if you stick to it, you will definitely achieve the goal that you’ve been wishing for. Consider Workouts On Demand for their easy video download service. With 45% off your first month, it is a terrific bargain. Just a short workout each day and you’ll be in your skinny jeans in no time.
A new way to live my life
I have been eating well (okay, moderately healthy but still, it’s better than I ever have done before) and taking vitamins and supplements like flax seed and fish oil. And I must say, I definitely feel waaay better than I ever have, I am not so tired all the time or constantly fatigued or wishing I could take a nap. I learned that I love steamed vegetables, they are crunchy and I get to eat a lot of them without feeling guilty.
I’ve also been doing the meditation videos and it has really seemed to help me stay relaxed and focused. The next thing I want to get into is the pilates. Im kind of curious about the pilates ring. Anyone here tried it? I think Im just going to go to Target and pick up a ring and give it a try. Heck they are only like $15 — that’s less than the price of a pizza!
Thats it for today. Tomorrow — more good healthy eating and taking care of me!
