There are several ways to
watch our workout videos on your TV.
There are many
wireless devices available for $50 to $200. Just Google
"Wireless PC to TV converter."
Or, follow the steps below and enjoy our workout videos on your TV with
just a few cords. Here's how:
1. Determine which cables you need
There are three basic video-out connections found on a Laptop. DVI offers the best quality. S-video is a good choice and is widely used. The last connection is VGA.
*Some Apple models require a mini-vga or mini-dvi cables, available from Apple*
2. Connect your Laptop to your TV
In most cases, your TV will have an RCA input. You will need a cable that connects your laptop (DVI, VGA or S-Video) to the RCA input on your TV.
Apple users: If your computer uses mini-dvi or mini-vga, you will need an additional cord.
3. Update laptop settings
For some laptops you can create a shortcut feature that allows you to switch the video output from your monitor to your TV in seconds. Here is how:
-
1. Make sure that your cables are properly plugged in to your laptop and TV and that your laptop is plugged in or fully charged.
-
2. Hold down the "Fn" key and then hit another function button depending on your computer manufacturer (see chart below).
-
3. While you are holding the "Fn" key down, keep hitting the other F# button and you will toggle through the various outputs until you get to the "TV Only" option (make sure this is selected).
Apple users: Once the cables are connected, open the system preferences. Then, click on display and set your display to mirror. In the mirror setting, everything displayed on your monitor will be mirrored on your TV!
4. Connect the Audio
You will still need to connect
the sound using the audio connections on your computer and TV.
Your computer has a miniplug audio connection and your TV has RCA
composite audio so you will need a
Miniplug-To-RCA Stereo Audio Cable.
